Oatmeal Energy Bites

Late night snack? Check. Pre Workout snack? Check.

Are you one of those people who love a little chocolate at night after dinner? Do you need a little something sweet, but not too much right before bed?

Are you looking for a little energy to help you get through your workout? You don't want to eat a big meal or heavy pre-workout before working out but need something to help you get through?

Here I have Oatmeal Energy bites that can check off all those boxes.

Just a few simple ingredients and less than an hour of your time can result in a healthy but energy-packed treat. This snack is truly something you can enjoy with very little guilt.

Oatmeal Energy Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Whole Grain Oats

  • 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

  • 1/3 Cup Honey

  • 1/4 Cup Flaxseed

Directions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together whole-grain oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, honey, and flaxseed.

  3. Once the ingredients are mixed, use your hands to create a golf ball-sized amount of mixture. Roll between your hands to make a ball shape.

  4. Once all the ingredients mixtures have been used and all the bites have been placed on the baking sheet, place the baking sheet inside the freezer.

  5. Freeze energy bites for at least 30 minutes and keep them stored in the freezer until you are ready to eat.

  6. Enjoy!
